Critical race theory emphasizes that racism is not solely the result of individual prejudice, instead it is  deeply embedded in our institutions and and social structures. Ending a class with a discussion on Critical Race Theory would be valuable for fostering critical thinking and understanding of historical and contemporary issues. CRT offers insights into systemic racism and its impact on society, it encourages us to analyze power structures and privilege similar to what we have done throughout the year. Engaging with CRT encourages a broadened perspective and equips students to navigate complex social issues in the real world.
